Temporary Hair Color Gel - Purple Rain

Best temporary color I’ve used! The gel was easy to apply and the color is vibrant even when it dries, plus you can add more if need be. I spritz my hair with a light hairspray and there was absolutely no transfer! I will definitely be trying more colors!!

Love, love, love the purple color! I made sure to use a good amount of leave in conditioner as I was applying the gel. The color is vibrant and pops, especially in the sun. I received a lot of compliments. The product does flake when you fluff your hair the next day, but it brushes off your clothes and wipes off the bathroom counter very easily. I haven't noticed any staining on satin cap that I wear at night or my clothes, couch, etc. I made sure my hair was dry before leaving the bathroom so I didn't accidentally drip purple around the house. It washes out easily. I haven't noticed any breakage so far. Definitely recommend this product for when you want to change things up!

Great vibrant color!!!

I was a little skeptical about ordering this product, but I’m glad I did it! I’ve always had colorful hair, with braids but I would never dye my 4c low porosity hair and this is a fantastic alternative. Not only did this product make my curls pop like never before the color is gorgeous. However the one thing that truly bugs me is when I fluff my hair I get the color on my hands. Not a huge deal but I’m a person who likes clean hands. I haven’t noticed a ton of transfer on my clothes or my hair bonnet just my hands. Love this product definitely recommend! I will be ordering more colors!!

This one didn’t really show up on my hair :/. I have really dark hair and the cobalt did give it a nice midnight blue tint in certain lighting but this one did nothing for me.

The color is beautiful. I applied it to the ends of my hair. However, after wearing it a few days, my hair smelled weird, like old clothing type smell.

I just love the purple! I have a relaxed pixie and this was my second order in less than a year which tells you how much I use it lol! Plus they have amazing customer service!

Purple is my favorite color. I love the way that this turned out! This was the first color that I tried doing a full coverage. I did have o be careful about rubbing it off on things. Next time I’ll try it with the sealer. My hair still had a purple tint until I washed it out, though it did fade. Still, this is a really great product. I already ordered a second bottle :) (and about five more colors.)

I love Gemini naturals. This is my second purchase. I love the bronze color for myself and my daughter loves the purple. I totally trust this product and I would recommend it. Fyi both myself and my daughter have type 4 dark brown hair, and the color is fabulous.

Color is so vibrant on my locs! Gorgeous and only minimal transfer! Love that it has no chemicals in it and made in the USA.

I was looking for an alternative to hair dye that wouldn't damage the bonds on my human hair wig and came across this brand after an intensive online search. I purchased the starter kit which included the leave in conditioner, the sealing serum and a gel color of your choice as well as an additional gel color. I must say I was impressed with how very defined my curls were after washing the wig and using the leave in. Color application was a breeze with minimal mess that cleaned easily with soap and water. The colors were very vibrant. I did an ombre with Purple Haze on top and Cobalt on the bottom. The picture on the left shows the initial application and the one on the right is about 2 weeks after. Since its a wig the colors were still decently intense at about the 2 week mark since I'm not washing it as frequently as my own hair. Overall transfer is minimal, I have to really be running my fingers through my hair to see anything but you may want to avoid light colored clothing if you have longer hair that rubs against it. I recommend using the sealing serum to help minimize the risk. I plan on ordering more colors in the future and I'd like to suggest to the creators making an emerald green dye as I think that would be lovely.

I love it. My girls lasted long. I actually had it in for like a week and a day. Everybody thought it dyed my hair. I used the whole bottle because my hair is thick. Only thing I can say is the longer you keep it the more it flake. That didn’t bother me at all. I love this product. I will by it again.

I had some blonde in my hair so I wanted to put some temporary purple in it to see if I would like it. I decided to try Gemini Hair products because it is made with products that I like to use with my curly hair. I really liked how it turned it. The only complaint is that it kind of made my hair hard “crispy” like. It completely washed out so that was really cool. Most temporary products stay in longer and it didn’t damage my hair or cause problems. Will be trying other colors!

I mixed the color with hue ocean to give me a ombre look. I do like how easy it was to apply and how fast the color picked up. It did leave my hair a little crunchy which I'm not a big fan since I don't style my hair that way anymore but it wasn't too bad. I did leave the color in overnight and the color was still vibrant the next day.

I love it & my hair loves it. After it dries I have no trouble with color transfer but I still wear my bonnet at night. It doesn’t have my hair feeling dry or hard. I will be purchasing a full size next time. It’s the perfect purple and my favorite color it shows up so good on my black hair. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This color is gorgeous!! It's very subtle unless you use A LOT or reapply on dry hair. I dyed my hair purple about 10 years ago & thought it was just to die for. I've been looking for something non permanent & the same shade forever & I'm so glad I found this. The photo is after wearing for 6 days & doing A LOT in a busy week that involved me sweating a ton & being super active. No flakes, no transfer, & just a bit of faded color. It's hard to show in photographs unless you're in direct light but all of my hair is purple, not just the ends. I added more color to the ends after styling so it would pop more. I used maybe a third of the 2 oz container.

I love the purple rain! The colors were vibrant and look really good on my dark brown hair. I had so much fun applying it by knowing that if i screwed up, i could just wash it out. It goes well with my skin complexion as a women of color. I was pleased all the way around from delivery of product to the application of it. You get a lot in the bottle.

Wow!! I bought the purple rain and I LOVED it. I got so many compliments. a little pricey but i'd definitely recommend it to friends.   

The only complaint I have is that even when it dries and I am fluffing up my hair for day 3 and 4 wash and go's, the color comes off very easily on my hands. Other than that the product looks very nice.

I started by just putting a stripe in but now I think I want to do my entire head purple

I love this color! I ordered the 2 oz a few months ago and just reordered the 4oz! I got so many compliments too. I have 4B low porosity hair and only needed a bit of the gel and oil and my perm rod set lasted 5 days before the humidity eventually took its toll. Besides the color, this is a high quality gel and I can't wait to try more colors. Best part, no clothing transfer or flaking!

Ready to try more colors! This color was absolutely beautiful on my black hair. I never thought I would find a way to playfully add some color into my hair without damaging it. This purple rain color applies so easily and not much of the color had to be used to cover every hair strand with purple! Also for those with curly hair(like me) I added my leave in conditioner and the purple rain color gel and my hair felt just healthy with no crunch from the gel. This product is dare I say, perfection!!

Honestly really cool !!~ It arrived safely and nicely packaged. I got The purple rain . This product is honestly really cool ! The purple is really vibrant compare to what the picture shows ! I have dark hair so seeing it popping like that in my dark hair is amazing. My coworkers and friends complimented me on how nice it looks ! The best part is that it washes out easily so no dryness due to chemicals or anything like that. It does crumb a little bit but otherwise super easy to apply. Be aware of the stains haha, I have purple all over my bathroom haha, it adds a little touch to the white wall lol ! No one really noticed that it is not permanent which is really nice.

A NEW STAPLE! I love this gel. Goes on easy. Doesn’t stain. Doesn’t damage your hair. I’m 56 with discoid and systemic lupus but I still like to be you fat heart. This allows me to play around with different looks and colors while maintaining my curls. You really can’t tell that it’s temporary dye. I sleep with or without a bonnet and once dry it doesn’t transfer to my pillow clothes. The sealant really works and makes your hair soft, not crinkly. I love it! Can’t wait to try new colors.

Love this purple gel! I love Get Hued, thank you Gemini Naturals! I have 6 colors now. I have wanted dark purple hair for years. I got bold and wore Purple Rain to my office job for a week. I applied very little color to my off black hair because I wanted it to look dark purple. So many people stopped me to comment on my hair (I love the color, it's so pretty, bold color, very cool). I really like how dark it looks in some light (almost unnoticeable) but then it's bright under direct light/sunlight. Fun color! Money well spent! This is my first time colouring my hair and I am glad I stumbled upon this temporary colour gel. I have natural black hair and the colour is subtle in artificial lighting and very noticeable in natural lighting. The gel works exactly as described. I tried the product on both damp hair for a braid out and then added more later in the week on dry hair for twists. The colour was vibrant for the first 5 days and is still noticeable afterwards when unraveled for a twist out. I kept the colour in for a full week. I paired purple rain with cobalt and the results were amazing. The colour does transfer when applying and when unbraiding/twisting but I experienced zero flaking and only minimal transfer onto surfaces.I honestly was not bothered by the transfer at all. I even went to the gym with the colour in my hair and barely any sweating of the colour occurred! I have four more colours left to try and I can't wait to try them. Only down side is that the colour gets under my nails so I had to cut them low and also the price of the product + shipping internationally is a bit expensive.

Great color!!! I’ve been natural since 2012 and have colored my natural hair twice with permanent dye. While my hair didn’t suffer a lot, it was definitely more dry than normal. These gels are an excellent way to color your hair while having definition, moisture, and shine. Purple Rain is the perfect purple color that rinses right out. I’ve tried almost every color and you can’t gonweong with any of them
